anneka   Jupiter-C

EIY has revealed his supports for some of his upcoming UK tour…

13 BEXHILL Museum of The Night at De la Warr Pavilion with Anneka.  Tickets

Anneka‘s unmistakable voice has graced records by Falty DL, Ital Tek and Lone, on labels such as Planet Mu and R&S, and seen her feature alongside Starkey on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale Session. These collaborations may give you a notion of the waters she swims in, but her solo live show is where her huge potential is revealed. Armed with drumsticks, sample pads, keyboards, tambourines and shakers and a microphone, she constructs textured, ethereal grooves, lacing them with inspired lyrical harmonies.

Jupiter-C is Ashiya Eastwood and David Kane and they are based in London, via Manchester and Liverpool. They make brooding, minimalist pop odes to surveillance, technology and the anxiety of contemporary urban life. Thematically centred around the more nightmarish aspects of modernity – unchecked consumerism and gentrification, technological development and dystopian futures – they combine minimal electronics, distorted guitars and melodic vocals to create post-apocalyptic noise.
